Tuta absoluta or tomato moth affects, as its common name indicates, mainly the tomato. It also causes damage to potatoes and can use other solanaceous plants as host plants. The larvae penetrate the fruits, leaves or stems on which they feed, creating perforations and galleries.

APPLICATION:

For detection and monitoring we recommend the use of triangular traps, with a density of 1 to 3 traps per hectare, placed on the ground or on a support for this purpose, but at a low height. The traps will be placed 2 or 3 weeks before transplanting. To carry out exhaustive monitoring, the number of traps per surface is increased, depending on the situation and homogeneity of the plots.

The diffusers should be kept in their original packaging and in a refrigerator at 4 ºC; or in the freezer at -18 ºC, in which case they will remain valid for 2 and 4 years respectively, away from food and drinks.
