ECONEX WATER TRAP (ECO)

This trap is specifically designed for the capture of Tuta absoluta (South American tomato pinworm).  The trap consists of 2 parts: a tray that is 5cm high x 34cm diameter, with a 3.5 litre capacity and a small cage to place the pheromone diffuser inside.

Tuta absoluta or Tomato leafminer mainly affects the tomato, although it can also cause damage to potatoes and can use other Solanaceae as host plants.  The larvae enter the fruit, leaves or stalks in order to feed themselves, whilst perforating and creating galleries at the same time.

PERIOD OF USE:

It is recommended that the traps should be active all year round.

RECOMMENDED USE:

In this humid trap, water is placed inside the tray.  We also recommend adding a film of oil to the water to increase the number of captures.  The pheromone diffuser ECONEX TUTA ABSOLUTA is introduced into the cage, which is placed in the centre of the trap.

IMPLEMENTATION:

Place 1 to 3 traps for every room in warehouses, separated at least 5 metres apart from each other and 1 to 2 traps per hectare in crops.
