Spodoptera exigua is an insect that attacks various herbaceous crops and spontaneous plants. The larvae feed on the leaves and cause extensive defoliation. If the pest is not controlled in time, the insect can gnaw the stems and create galleries, and even damage the fruit. The wounds caused by this pest facilitate the entry of other pathogens (fungi, bacteria, etc.).
The ECONEX SPODOPTERA EXIGUA 2 MG 40 DAYS sexual pheromone diffuser attracts males of the species. It lasts 40 days in the field.
TIME OF USE AND APPLICATION:
It is recommended to place 1 to 2 traps in spring to detect and observe the pest. The time to adopt control measures is then defined.
The tolerance threshold for Spodoptera exigua is very low and varies according to the area. Generally speaking, it can be said that there are around 3 captures per trap per week.
HOW THE DIFFUSER WORKS:
ECONEX SPODOPTERA EXIGUA 2 MG 40 DAYS is a capsule-shaped natural rubber diffuser, individually packaged in an aluminium envelope with a specification label. Once removed from the packaging, the diffuser does not need any activation operation, just properly placed in the trap.
STORAGE OF THE DIFFUSERS
The diffusers must be kept in their original packaging and in a refrigerator at 4o C; or in the freezer at -18o C, in which case they will remain valid for 2 and 4 years respectively, away from food and drink.
