Sexual pheromone diffuser of the species Cydia pomonella to attract males, with a duration of 90 days in normal field conditions.

It is a pest of Palearctic origin nowwidespread all over the world and mainly causes damage to pip-fruit trees.  It produces worms in fruits and is one of the most serious pests of apple crops.

Cydia pomonella, mainly attacks the fruit of the apple, pear and quince trees.  It can occasionally attack fruits of the walnut and chestnut trees as well as apricots and plums.

TIME OF EMPLOYMENT:

It has 2 to 3 annual generations, and is characterized by having a very staggered emergence of adults, so that all annual generations overlap. For the correct treatment of Cydia pomonella, monitoring the pest with the use of the ECONEX CYDIA POMONELLA 10 MG 90 DAYS pheromone diffuser is recommended to detect in time the moment to start controlling the insect.

APPLICATION: 

For detection and monitoring we will use 1 to 3 traps per hectare, placed at the height of the crop. For exhaustive monitoring, the amount of traps per surface area should be increased depending on location and homogeneity of the plots .

DIFFUSER OPERATION:

Once taken out of the sachet, the diffuser does not need any activation operation. Simply place it directly in the trap.

STORAGE OF THE DIFFUSERS:

The diffusers should be kept in their original packaging and in a refrigerator at 4°C; or in the freezer at -18 OC, in which case they will remain valid for 2 and 4 years respectively, away from food and drinks.
